Governor Ugwuanyi Sets The Pace In Education As ENSUBEB Boss Inspects Building Of 134 Schools In Enugu

One of the greatest investments any government can make is in the all important area of education and the vital infrastructure that come with it.

And to ensure both quantity and quality infrastructure, last week, the board members and management of Enugu State Universal Basic Education Board (ENSUBEB) led by the executive chairman Chief Ikeje Asogwa embarked on a weeklong monitoring and inspection of 134 school building projects being executed by the board to ensure maximum comfort and conducive learning environment for pupils in Enugu state public schools.

The tour was primarily aimed at checking the level of works already done by the contractors and also to ensure that the contractors are meeting set standards and specifications.

While contractors who have done well were commended by the chairman and asked to complete their contracts within the record time, those that did not meet up were called to order and reminded of the implications of not meeting up with record time, as well as with standard and specifications.

The technical assistants to the governor of Enugu state were part of the tour as seeing is believing. It is on record and verifiable that these 134 projects make it a total number of 1385 school building projects in basic education alone in Enugu state within Gov. Ugwuanyi's administration.

Thanks to the education-friendly governor of Enugu State His Excellency, Hon. Dr. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for living up to his campaign promises in education even as his tenure is winding up.

Special thanks to Universal Basic Education Commission UBEC, Abuja for the partnership that works.

Kudos to the board and management of Enugu State Universal Basic Education Board under the pragmatic and innovative leadership of Chief Ikeje Asogwa for always ensuring that the motto of the board is maintained.

ENSUBEB, quality and service.  Enugu state is in the hands of God.
