Former Big Brother Naija winner, Ijeoma Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, has revealed reasons she had abortions at the age of 19 and 24. In an interview with Punch Newspapers, the reality tv star had said she had an abortion at 19 because she couldn’t tell her parents and she removed the second foetus because her partner was abusive and always beat her. When asked, “Can you tell us the reasons for taking the decision?” Phyna responded by saying, “As for my reasons for taking abortion pills, if there are 100 women in Nigeria today, 98 have done abortions. So, no one should judge me. “I was in a 12-year relationship then and I was so young. The first abortion was when I was 19; I couldn’t go home to tell my parents that I was pregnant at that age.   Comedian, Bright Okpocha aka Basketmouth, has removed the post where he announced the end of his marriage to his wife of 12 years, Elsie. Basketmouth had last Thursday announced that he and his wife were going their separate ways. His statement, which was posted on different social media platforms partly read, "As much as it pains me to bring my personal life to the public space, this is an unavoidable situation. After much deliberations, my wife and I have made the difficult decision to end our marriage.” Checks on his social media accounts on Friday revealed the post is no longer available. Popular Nigerian artiste Harrysong has reportedly been arrested by the Nigeria Police Force. SP Benjamin Jundeyin, the spokesman for the Lagos police command, confirmed this on Tuesday. According to Hundeyin, Harrysong was picked up Tuesday morning over a petition against him. "I cannot tell you much now but I can confirm to you that he was arrested this morning and it is in continuation with our investigation that emanated from a petition against him," he said. Embattled American R&B star, Robert Sylvester, popularly known as R. Kelly has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for racketeering and other crimes. The 55-year-old who has been in police detention since his arrest in 2019, was sentenced by a federal judge on Wednesday, June 29, in Brooklyn, New York.  Judge Ann Donnelly sentenced Mr. Kelly to 30 years imprisonment and an additional five years of supervised release and a $100,000 fine — during a hearing where seven of his victims spoke about suffering under his control. He was found guilty in September of racketeering and sex trafficking charges stemming from a decades-long practice of recruiting and grooming girls and young women for illegal sex. In an interview with Channels TV, Banky W said, "At least half of the young people who do NYSC might not need it. You have people that go for NYSC and they just sign a paper somewhere and give somebody money, so that they say they have it and then go off and do whatever. According to the family of the actor, he d#ed on the morning of Friday, April 8, 2022. They revealed that his son found him lying unconscious in his room. After attempts to resuscitate him failed, he was sent to the hospital for emergency attention. However, he was pronounced de#d on arrival. The body of the actor has since been transferred to the mortuary.

Controversial Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh is in the news again for owing yet another ex-friend and colleague, Ada Karl. In an Instagram post she shared, Ada claim that Tonto bought diamonds for a man but has refused to pay the 80k debt she owed her over 15 years ago.
