Ondo State Government Sets Up Park Management Committee

Consequent upon protracted crisis in the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) operating in the Public Motor Parks in Ondo State, the Government has intervened by setting up MOTOR PARK MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE  to manage and administer all the Public  Motor Parks  in the State. 

The Government noted the unfortunate unending crisis and litigation involving the Union in Court which has adversely affected activities in the Public Motor Parks in the state.

The Government therefore has decided to take over all the Public Motor Parks in the State  and set-up a Committee to administer same. 

The Union's activities in Public Parks in the State is accordingly suspended. 

The following persons are hereby constituted into Park Management Committee to administer all the Parks in the State:

2. EVANG. FESTUS OBASOOTO - VICE CHAIRMAN

3. BAYODE GBENGA - SECRETARY

4. GBONYA OYEDEPO ADENIYI

7. BAMIDELE OLAPADE

8. PASTOR SUNDAY OLAWUYI

9. OGEDEGBE OGUNMUYIWA

10. ADEMOLA ODUDU

11. JONES AKINRINLOLA

12. AKINYOSADE AKINLOLU

13.EZEKIEL ADEMOLA

14. JOHNSON AKINRIBISI

15. EMIDUN SIMEON

16. LAWRENCE IKUOMEHINLO

17. OLOWERE AMOS

The Committee shall report to the Governor of the State  through the Office of Special Adviser to the Governor on Union Matters and Special Duties.

Alleged N4.8bn Fraud: Court Adjourns Cletus Ibeto’s Case till Apr 15

  Justice Oyindamola Ogala of the Lagos State High Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos, on Monday, March 11, 2024 adjourned the alleged N4.8 billion fraud brought against a businessman, Chief Cletus Ibeto, till April 15, 2024. The case, which was initially before Justice I.O. Ijelu, of the Lagos State High Court, Ikeja, suffered several adjournments due to the absence of the defendant to take his plea with respect to the 10-count charges filed against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC. He was charged alongside his companies, Ibeto Energy Development Company and Odoh Holdings Ltd. Justice Ijelu had on November 3, 2023 declared Ibeto wanted, based on an application moved by counsel to the EFCC, Rotimi Jacobs, SAN. He also issued a bench warrant for his arrest. Justice K.N. Ogbonnaya of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, High Court Zuba has fixed commencement of hearing of a N201,000,000( Two Hundred and One Million) alleged fraud involving four Abuja company executives and their company for May 6, 2024. The defendants, Harry Ositadinma Samuel, Ayodele Raymond, Gowon Usman Egbunu, Alhaji Nuhu Amanabo and Beligetto Holding Company Limited were arraigned on February 29, 2024 on two-count charges bordering on obtaining by false pretense.
