Nigeria International, Ajewole Emmanuel yesterday paid a courtesy visit to the Lagos State House of Assembly member, Honorable Abdulsobur O. Olawale popularly known as Omitit.

Emmanuel who was well received by the Honorable lawmaker, was accompanied by the ace beauty pageant promoter, Ambassador Brendan Nsikak among others.

In his remarks, Emmanuel while presenting his winner certificate to Hon. Olawale, promised to use his new found fame in the interest of humanity.

On the other hand, Hon. Olawale while receiving the winner certificate and proposal of Emmanuel’s pet project, said he is impressed about Emmanuel’s personality, his plans, especially his zeal to further project the beautiful city of Mushin in good light.

  Former Barcelona talisman and Paris Saint-Germain superstar, Lionel Messi has been awarded the 2021 Ballon d’Or. At a star-studded ceremony in Paris on Monday evening, the 34-year-old Argentine forward was crowned the world’s best player for the seventh time. It is a record seventh occasion overall after seeing off strong competition from the likes of Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski, Real Madrid’s Benzema and Chelsea’s Jorginho. Blasphemy: I am not afraid to speak, my position on sharia got me abuses – Atiku

Former Vice President of Nigeria, Abubakar Atiku, has said he is not afraid to speak on critical issues but that every tweet on his official social media handles must get his approval before publication. Atiku, one of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential aspirants, said this when he paid a consultative visit to Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State at the Government House in Benin. Atiku had earlier condemned the gruesome killing of Miss Deborah Samuel who was accused of blasphemy. The post was soon taken down after a backlash against the former president by some Muslims on social media. According to Atiku, “Every tweet has to get my expressed approval but this one didn’t so I asked them to take it down. “I took a stand about Sharia law and was abused, thrown stones at, but how long did it last? Despite that, I didn’t change my position on that. I am not afraid to take a stand on critical issues,“ NAN quoted him as saying.
