ENDSARS: I Don’t Know What Happened To The Recovered Lekki Camera – Fashola

The Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola has said he does not know where the camera he recovered at Lekki Tollgate after the #EndSARS protests is.

Fashola who disclosed this during an interview on Arise television said he handed the camera to a Lagos State government official.

When asked what was the content of the camera, he said, “You should not be asking me.

“You have the tapes showing that I handed it over to the government of Lagos. So you have all the recordings. I think your people were there.

“So don’t ask me what happened to the camera. I don’t know.”

Recall that the former governor of Lagos State, had visited the Lekki tollgate in October last year to assess the damage caused in the aftermath of the #ENDSARS protest. He also spotted a camcorder at the toll plaza which he handed over to a government official.

The viral footage of Fashola’s “recovery” became a meme on social media and trended for several weeks.

The ex-governor was arrested last week at the Murtala Muhammad International Airport, Lagos, as he was preparing to board a flight to Houston, the United States. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Wednesday evening released Willie Obiano, former governor of Anambra State, on bail Mr Obiano’s passport was withheld as part of the bail conditions.
