Late DR. SIKIRU AYINDE BARRISTER named Highest selling Dead Musician

Weeks ago, Forbes released their list of highest earning dead Musicians where they had MICHEAL JACKSON on their number one spot. Well, i went to ALABA and IDUMOTA to make my own research of the Highest Earning dead artiste in Nigeria and in my research, i found out that even after the Late fuji legend died he still sells lot of copies even after his death. I also found out that Late rapper DAGRIN’s album was the second best selling deceased artiste after the late Old soldier as he was fondly called. You’ll remember he got much attention after his death. His album C.E.O is regarded as one of the best hiphop albums of all time in Nigeria. The album has changed a lot lives. Artistes like olamide, Dharsaw to mention a few have in one way or the other got their inspiration from the rapper’s album. Its so sad he died very young. April 22nd of every year has been set aside to celebrate his death by fans and colleagues. We continue to wish him peace in his rest.

On Late Sikiru Ayinde Barrister, While he was alive, he recorded over 30 official studio albums with videos and over 200 stage performances which was sold nationwide. You will all agree that he was the front-runner of the Fuji genre which has produced artistes like Pasuma and Saheed osupa to mention a few. Gbenga Adeboye’s comedy skits are also selling fast till date.
Mr Idowu Adewale who sales CDs at Idumota area of Lagos said “omo..Barrister album still dey sell ooo. i dey sell atleast 50 copies of Barrister’s stage performance and studio album everyday for just my shop here alone”. He further stated that there are other shops that have higher selling rates compared to him.
Well, there you have it…and its another MAYOVIRAL compilation…
